This is my new favorite Chinese food restaurant. My brother loves it too. Their chowmaine is delicious.

I picked up some take out from Great Wall a few weeks ago. I've been on the hunt for a good Chinese food restaurant in the local area. First thing I noticed, the family (people working) were very nice and friendly. The went out of their way to make me feel welcome. So kudo's there.... We ordered a few different items. I did take notice that their Won Ton soup had a nice silky broth and freshly cut vegetables. The dumpling themselves were just ok..... Everything else we ordered was good but nothing memorable. For me, the disappointment was the chicken. The texture seemed off. I know it was real chicken, but it felt processed and had no 'tooth' to it.... Again, I'm not suggesting they are using artificial chicken. Maybe the process in which they cook the chicken gives it slippery or loose texture.... Whatever it is/was - it was different. I plan to visit them again and hopefully update this review. The real stand-out here was the owners/family are very nice people. Over all - this is a 3.5 star review. My hunt for a good local Chinese food restaurant continues....

Wish I could give them a higher rating. I really wanted this to be my neighborhood takeout place. We first tried them a few months ago. Everything tasted OK but the hot & sour soup stood out. Very good, not the best around (see my other reviews), calls for more acid and garlic--worth a return visit nonetheless. Second time around and the soup is still good! Our hopes were in for a bit of a letdown though. All the other dishes were over-seasoned, way too salty in the case of the broccoli beef. Mu shu pork, already heavily spiced, needed no additional sauce despite the provided hoisin. Steamed rice was also disappointingly wet. BBQ pork chow mein was the least over-salted dish but comprised more noodle than anything else; a handful of crisp veggies would have been a nice counterpoint. Overall, the ingredients were fresh and ready quickly. Maybe requesting a low sodium preparation would correct for the ramped up flavors

Salt and pepper fish was the same frozen beer battered cod I get at Costco, which I like baked on the oven, but it was deep fried and dry and I was not expecting to pay double for it from a Chinese restaurant. Sweet and sour pork I would not get again. Chow mein was ok. Mongolian beef was the only entree I would get again. Portions are very small for the price. Not sure how this place gets an average of 4 stars.

For at least 10 years of experiencing to go to different restaurants, this Chinese restaurant is definitely caught my eye. The place is small, at least enough for 15 to 20 guests which can be served at the time. It is shabby , but clean. Portions are definitely generous, the waiter who came down to our table had a great greeting and welcoming attitude. As you see we have chosen plenty good choices, Love the shrimp honey walnut and black mushroom beef . Both portions were enough for two hungry adults. Coming back soon for sure.
